With Steve Robbins, Parks and Countryside Meet at the lighthouse, Moor Terrace on the Headland at 6.30pm on the route Steve will be giving out details of some of the numerous stories attached to the oldest part of the town. Some of these are of historical events whilst others made be not quite true stories. At the lighthouse he will give out a brief history of the bombardment in this particular area of the town and the story of the murder that occurred there. Local acoustic band The Old Age Travellers makes a welcome return to placate the little people and celebrate all things Irish on St. Patrick's Day! Their musical repertoire ranges across a wide spectrum of styles from the traditional to songs from songwriters of today but tonight they concentrate on their repertoire of Irish ditties.
DCYE is an integral part of the Embroiderers' Guild. It enables young people, aged from 5 - 18 years, to learn more about and enjoy all forms of creative embroidery and textile art. The group meets every two months and new members will receive a warm welcome.
